Big Tickets
Aptly titled, “Big Tickets” is a massive mural composed of 62 concert stubs from the early 1900s through the present day from iconic Nashville shows across various genres and venues. We worked in close collaboration with the owner, AJ Capital Partners, and East Side Murals to bring this project to life.

The final piece references more than 120 artists and 62 tickets, some with personal connections to the neighborhood, such as a 1914 Fisk Jubilee show at the Ryman. Aside from being an incredible moment in history, this Fisk ticket also honors the legacy of two Fisk Jubilee singers who were laid to rest at the Nashville City Cemetery next door. Another momentous music moment includes the 1972 Rolling Stones tour, which featured 22-year-old Stevie Wonder, who went on to press Superstition at United Record Pressing just a few blocks away.
Our role included presenting the initial concept, sourcing many of the tickets, and composing and designing visuals based on references and historic precedents. The team talked to history buffs and music managers. We scoured antique stores. We were designers and sleuths. We were also creative cheerleaders as the mind-bogglingly talented team at Eastside Murals moved into production.
Eastside Murals executed the physical installation and contributed extreme attention to detail. Texture, wrinkles, shadows, and every spec, smudge, and pattern were meticulously handcrafted over the course of 120 days.
We could not be more proud of the way this piece turned out. The trust and collaboration from the AJ team was a dream come true, and the skill and attention to detail from Eastside Murals really brought this idea to life.
